PER SPOOK – NORWEGIAN FASHION DESIGNER IN PARIS
Feb 23- Aug 31-2008
Per Spook, with his own fashion house in Paris, is Norway’s most talented fashion designer throughout history. The exhibition in Permanenten presents collections from his extraordinary career as a designer of haute couture.
Per Spook created clothing for women who would use them; not just to sell perfume. Despite this, he managed to win a place among the elite of Parisian fashion designers and was a three-time winner of the highest awards that are given to haute couture collections: The Golden Needle for Most Creative Collection in 1978 and the Golden Thimble for Best Collection in 1979 and 1993.
The exhibition focuses on the years during which Per Spook ran his own fashion house in Paris (1979-1995). In addition, a recreation of his studio has been made and original film shoots of his fashion shows in Paris will be shown.
